BioHello, my name is Harlean Carpentier but you will know me better as Jean Harlow. I was born in Kansas City Missouri on March 3, 1911. I started out in films as an extra but after making Double Whoopee with Laurel and Hardy, the studios took notice of me. In 1930, Howard Hughes cast me in his war epic Hell's Angels. In the film I famously uttered the words.."Would you be shocked if I changed into something more comfortable?"
